Glad to see Howard bust out of his slump. Glad to see the Phils overcome the adretsivy of bad play-calling by the umpires. Intrigued to see the weird defensive moves in the bottom of the 9th (at 2am) this morning.
Beautiful. I think opera houses shulod do more of it. There are so many people today who don’t know what opera is, how much talent there is in opera, who think that badly sung arias on tv talent shows is opera, or who confuse “popera” with opera. A lot more people would go to opera if they just heard it.FYI for those who live where PBS stations broadcast GP at the Met. “Simon Boccanegra” on PBS at 9pm on Thursday and at 12:30pm on Sunday (on wnet/thirteen in NY area; on channel 21 at 3:30pm on Sunday).
